Jayashree can live free – Hope Foundation

Dear The Friedman Group,

Five year old Jayashree is a student in Grade 1 in the primary school run by HOPE foundation in Pudupattinam. Her father, Vishwanathan, is an auto rickshaw driver and her mother, Jamuna, is a housewife. She resides in Uyyalikuppam fishermen colony. She is the youngest child and has one brother, Sanjay, who is also a student in the same school, in Grade 5.

At the time of admission, the school ensured that Jayashree was taken to the Government-run primary health clinic where all the necessary vaccinations were given to her, and her immunization chart brought up to date. She will continue receiving OPV whenever there is a pulse polio drive. A primary health worker will also be visiting the school periodically, to ensure that Jayashree gets all her other vaccinations on time.
