One of twins, Praisy is all smiles

Praisy is 5 years old and is one of twin children born to Vinayagam and Meenakshi. Her father works as a coolie to support the family, and her mother is a housewife. She is enrolled in grade 1 at the school run by Hope Foundation.

At the time of admission, the school ensured that Praisy was taken to the government run primary health clinic where all the necessary vaccinations were given to her, and her immunization chart brought up to date. She will continue receiving OPV whenever there is a pulse polio drive. A primary health worker will also be visiting the school periodically, to ensure that she gets all her other vaccinations on time.
