Five year old Mahalakshmi is a student in Grade 1 in the primary school run by HOPE foundation in Pudupattinam. Her father was a fisherman who died at sea, three years ago. Mahalkshmi’s mother works as a helper to support the family of two children. She resides in a Tsunami rehabilitation home in Pudupattinam Kuppam.
At the time of admission, the school ensured that Mahalakshmi was taken to the government run primary health clinic where all the necessary vaccinations were given to her, and her immunization chart brought up to date. She will continue receiving OPV whenever there is a pulse polio drive. A primary health worker will also be visiting the school periodically, to ensure that Mahalakshmi gets all her other vaccinations on time.
Your donation, Tom, will ensure that Mahalakshmi remains protected against seven deadly illnesses all her life.
Thank you, Tom, for your generosity.
