Vishwathara, 6 yrs old, is a motherless child whose father, Ramesh, sells fish in the market to support the family. Vishwathara is enrolled in the 1st grade in Hope Foundation School. She has one older sister who lives with their maternal grandmother. Following a heated family dispute, Vishwathara’s mother, Seetha, committed suicide.
At the time of admission, the school ensured that Vishwathara was taken to the government run primary health clinic where all the necessary vaccinations were given to her, and her immunization chart brought up to date. She will continue receiving OPV whenever there is a pulse polio drive. A primary health worker will also be visiting the school periodically, to ensure that Vishwathara gets all her other vaccinations on time.
Your donation will ensure that Vishwathara has life-long protection from seven deadly illnesses. Thank you for your generosity.
