Ramya, 6 yrs old, the youngest child, is enrolled in the 1st grade in Hope Foundation School. She has one older brother in Grade 4, also in HOPE school. Their father , Selvam, is a fisherman and their mother, Rani, sells fish in the market to support the family. The family lives in Tsunami Rehabilitation Home in Pudupattinam Fishermen Colony.
At the time of admission, the school ensured that Ramya was taken to the government run primary health clinic where all the necessary vaccinations were given to her, and her immunization chart brought up to date. She will continue receiving OPV whenever there is a pulse polio drive. A primary health worker will also be visiting the school periodically, to ensure that Ramya gets all her other vaccinations on time.
Your donation will ensure that Ramya has life-long protection from seven deadly illnesses. Thank you for your generosity.
