Bala, 5 yrs old, is a fatherless child. He has three siblings. Bala, the third child out of four, is enrolled in the 1st grade in Hope Foundation School. Their father, an alocohol addict, abandoned the family when Nedumaran was three years old and his younger sister was an eight month old infant. Ever since, the family has stayed with the grandfather, who works as a watchman to make ends meet. The family lives in Pudupattinam Fishermen Colony.
At the time of admission, the school ensured that Bala was taken to the government run primary health clinic where all the necessary vaccinations were given to him, and his immunization chart brought up to date. He will continue receiving OPV whenever there is a pulse polio drive. A primary health worker will also be visiting the school periodically, to ensure that Bala gets all his other vaccinations on time.
Your donation will ensure that Bala has life-long immunity from seven deadly illnesses.
Thank you for your generosity.
