Five year old Aakriti*, a student in Grade 1 in Hope School, is the youngest daughter of Desalingam and Karpagam. Her father is a fisherman and her mother is a housewife. Her older brother also studies at Hope school in Grade 2. The family lives in a Tsunami rehabilitation home.
At the time of admission, the school ensured that Aakriti was taken to the Government-run primary health clinic where all the necessary vaccinations were given to her, and her immunization chart brought up to date. She will continue receiving OPV whenever there is a pulse polio drive. A primary health worker will also be visiting the school periodically, to ensure that Aakriti gets all her other vaccinations on time.
Your donation, Joe and Karen, will ensure that Aakriti remains protected against seven deadly illnesses all her life.
Thank you, Joe and Karen, for your generosity.
