Navya can live free from fear

Five year old Navya*  is a student in Grade 1 in the primary school run by HOPE foundation in Pudupattinam. Her father, Murugan, is a laborer and her mother, Dakshyani, is a housewife. She has one brother and one sister also in school. Navya resides in Raja Nagar Colony near Pudupattinam.

At the time of admission, the school ensured that Navya was taken to the Government-run primary health clinic where all the necessary vaccinations were given to her, and her immunization chart brought up to date. Navya will continue receiving OPV whenever there is a pulse polio drive. A primary health worker will also be visiting the school periodically, to ensure that Navya gets all her other vaccinations on time.
