Swathi is defended from deadly illnesses

Swathi is 5 years old and is a student in Grade 1 in the primary school run by HOPE foundation in Pudupattinam. Her father, Tamilarasu, is a fisherman, and her mother is a housewife. She resides in a Tsunami rehabilitation home in Pudupattinam Kuppam.

At the time of admission, the school ensured that Swathi was taken to the government run primary health clinic where all the necessary vaccinations were given to her, and her immunization chart brought up to date. She will continue receiving OPV whenever there is a pulse polio drive. A primary health worker will also be visiting the school periodically, to ensure that Swathi gets all her other vaccinations on time.
