Aswathi is armed against disease

Aswathi is 2yrs 6 months old and is the daughter of Tamilarasu and Chitra. Her father is a fisherman, and her mother is a housewife. She has three sisters. One of  the sisters studies in Grade 1 in the primary school run by HOPE foundation in Pudupattinam. She resides in a Tsunami rehabilitation home in Pudupattinam Kuppam.

Aswathi is a nursery student in the Primary School run by HOPE Foundation in Pudupattinam, near Chennai, India. At the time of admission, the school ensured that Aswathi was taken to the government run primary health clinic where all the necessary vaccinations were given to her, and her immunization chart brought up to date. She will continue receiving OPV whenever there is a pulse polio drive. A primary health worker will also be visiting the school periodically, to ensure that Aswathi gets all her other vaccinations on time.
