Christina has every reason to smile

Four year old Christina is a lower kindergarten student in the Primary School run by HOPE Foundation in Pudupattinam near Chennai. She is the only child of Ramesh and Maheswari . Ramesh works as fisherman and Maheswari is a house wife. They live in tsunami rehabilitation house at Pudupattinam,

At the time of admission, the school ensured that Christina was taken to the government run primary health clinic where all the necessary vaccinations were given to her. She will continue receiving OPV whenever there is a pulse polio drive. A primary health worker will also be visiting the school periodically, to ensure that Christina gets all her other vaccinations on time.
