Kishor Sarma is a kindergarten student in the Primary School run by HOPE Foundation in Pudupattinam, near Chennai, India. He is the oldest son of Sankar and Vimala. Sankar works as a laborer in a construction site, and Vimala is a helper in a hospital. Kavith has a younger brother, and his grandparents also live with them in their house in Periyar Nagar.
At the time of admission, the school ensured that Kishor was taken to the government run primary health clinic where he was given the DPT (Diptheria, Pertussis, Tetanus) shot, and OPV (Oral Polio Vaccine). Kishor will continue receiving OPV whenever there is a pulse polio drive. A primary health worker will also be visiting the school periodically, to ensure that Kishor gets all his other vaccinations on time.
Your donation, George, will ensure that Kishor remains protected against seven deadly illnesses all his life.
