Dear George,
Three year old Vijaya* is a kindergarten student in the Primary School run by HOPE Foundation in Pudupattinam, near Chennai, India. Her father is a driver and her mother is a housewife, and she lives in a tsunami-rehabilitation settlement with her parents, younger brother, and grandmother.
At the time of admission, the school ensured that Vijaya was taken to the government run primary health clinic where she was given the DPT (Diptheria, Pertussis, Tetanus) shot, and OPV (Oral Polio Vaccine). Vijaya will continue receiving OPV whenever there is a pulse polio drive. A primary health worker will also be visiting the school periodically, to ensure that Vjaya gets all her other vaccinations on time.
Your donation, George, will ensure that Vijaya remains protected against seven deadly illnesses all her life.
