Three year old Keerthana is a kindergarten student in the Primary School run by HOPE Foundation in Pudupattinam, near Chennai, India. She is the only child of Chinnadurai and Madhavi. When she was one year old, her mother committed suicide after a family dispute, and she is now in the care of her grandparents. Her grandfather is a farmer, and they live in Raja Nagar colony.
At the time of admission, the school ensured that Keertana was taken to the government run primary health clinic where she was given the DPT (Diptheria, Pertussis, Tetanus) shot, and OPV (Oral Polio Vaccine). Keertana will continue receiving OPV whenever there is a pulse polio drive. A primary health worker will also be visiting the school periodically, to ensure that Keertana gets all her other vaccinations on time.
Your donation, George, will ensure that Keertana remains protected against seven deadly illnesses all her life.
