Three year old Anitha is a nursery student in the Primary School run by HOPE Foundation in Pudupattinam, near Chennai, India. She is the youngest daughter of Selvem, a fisherman, and resides in the Pudupattinam fishermen colony. Both her elder sisters are also in the school run by HOPE Foundation.
At the time of admission, the school ensured that Anitha was taken to the government run primary health clinic where she was given the DPT (Diptheria, Pertussis, Tetanus) shot, and OPV (Oral Polio Vaccine). Anitha will continue receiving OPV whenever there is a pulse polio drive. A primary health worker will also be visiting the school periodically, to ensure that Anitha gets all her other vaccinations on time.
Your donation, Phyllis, will ensure that Anitha remains protected against seven deadly illnesses all her life.
