Kaviya is now protected from deadly illnesses

Kaviya is four years old, and is the only child of Sezhiyan and Gandadevi. Kaviya was adopted when she was four months old, and her father works as a helper to support the family. Kaviya is a student of kindergarden at the school run by Hope Foundation in Pudupattinam.

At the time of admission, the school ensured that Kaviya was taken to the government run primary health clinic where all the necessary vaccinations were given to her, and her immunization chart brought up to date. She will continue receiving OPV whenever there is a pulse polio drive. A primary health worker will also be visiting the school periodically, to ensure that she gets all her other vaccinations on time.
